Rules on Teacher Evaluations and Appeals

The Office of Educator Talent in the Michigan Department of Education will hold a webinar in collaboration with the Office of Professional Preparation Services and the Center for Educational Performance Information designed to prepare educators for the upcoming Educator Effectiveness Label Data Appeals Window from September 1 to December 1, 2017.

The hour-long presentation will provide information on the legislation that influences educator evaluation; the impact that educator effectiveness ratings have on certification; how to read effectiveness ratings in MOECS; reasons why certain data may not be seen in MOECS; and the process for submitting an appeal within the Registry of Educational Personnel.

The webinar will be on August 23 from 3:30p.m.- 4:30p.m.

The webinar requires access to the internet or a phone line if the internet is not easily accessible.
