Morgan Hill Charter II
Paige Cisweski, founder of Charter School Morgan Hill, has announced plans to open a second charter school in Morgan Hill. She has held several community meetings to share her vision and get public input for a second charter school.
On Wednesday, March 19, Charter School Morgan Hill partnered with a new organization, P.A.S.S (Parents Advocating for Student Success), headed by Armando Benavides. (Mr. Benavides was involved in the effort to bring Rocketship and Navigator to Morgan Hill.)

MPEC, AFT Healthcare Say Pay Increases Pending
Maryland Professional Employees Council (MPEC) President Maria Mathias and AFT Healthcare-Maryland President Debra Perry want to remind their union members that they will receive a pay increase next month.
MCEA Statewide Conference Scheduled

The Advisory Council meeting hosts representatives of all MCEA chapters and regions for an evaluation and assessment of the Association’s activities and a strategic planning session for future operatio
Metro Council Calls for Boycott of Staples
Ernie Grecco, President of the Metropolitan Baltimore Council, AFL-CIO Unions has called for a boycott of Staples office supply stores. In calling the boycott, Grecco and the Council join the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) and the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) in an attempt to stop the privatization of post office services.
BTU Prom Drive
The Baltimore Teachers Union Public Outreach Committee announces their PROM DRIVE, and they are collecting formalwear and donations to benefit young teens who may otherwise be unable to attend their proms due to financial hardship.
Drop off donations between April 1 thru April 28, from 9am-5pm at the BTU, 5800 Metro Drive, 2nd floor.
