AFTMD members join One Baltimore United Rally

Various organizations converged on City Hall on Monday, October 27th, to make a host of demands. Among the most important issues was the question of whether to privatize the city water supply. Other issues included demands for affordable housing, quality jobs, safe streets and quality education.

Union Officer Elections

It is time for officer elections for AFT Healthcare-MD. Bargaining Unit E members who have been full dues-paying members for at least one year are eligible to run for any office.

Positions available are: President, Executive Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Central Region Vice President, Western Region Vice President, Eastern Region Vice President,  two At-Large Vice President positions, and Chief Steward. Twelve positions are also available for members wishing to run for Delegate to represent the local at meetings and  the AFT Convention.

Members interested in running for office should send their statements of interest and a short biography to Bill Chan, AFT Healthcare-MD Election Chair at 7127 Rutherford Road, Baltimore, MD 21244 by close of business Friday, November 7th.
