The tally of the ballots for the office of President was conducted on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at approximately 5:30PM.
The candidate elected as President is Dave Cicarella with 470 votes. Vincent Sullo received 228 votes.

Appointment of Ms. Sandra Dayse to Executive Board
President Roberts is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Sandra Dayse to the state Executive Board for the American Federation of Teachers. He believes she will be a strong advocate of our local and of the students and staff of Kansas City Public Schools.
Pride Month Proclamation
On his first day in office our new President Jason Roberts named June as LGBTQ Pride Month for Local 691. It is the beginning of a long stretch of ensuring diversity and inclusion in our Union. It is the beginning of fulfilling commitments he made while running for office in 2021.

AFT and 400+ other organizations urge President Biden and Vice President Harris to cancel federal student debt
Over 415 organizations, including the American Federation of Teachers, have signed a letter to President Biden and Vice President Harris, calling on them to use executive authority to cancel federal student debt.
