As the new semester begins at the seven universities of the University of Maine System, the Part-time Faculty Association of Maine (PATFA) reminds adjuncts to be aware of our contract language – especially if your courses are taken away.
Your contract addresses what happens when last-minute changes occur.
We provide the relevant contract language below. You would be wise to review it. Of course, the System has rights – but so do you.

Meetings are held every second Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the union office located at 14191 Greenfield, Detroit (between Grand River and Schoolcraft).
All members are encouraged to attend meetings to stay informed.

Our 3 elementary schools will be playing basketball against each other for a good cause!
Come watch your school team and have some fun with foul shots for our fans at half-time, pizza and candy sales.
All proceeds go to Scholarships for Hilton graduating seniors majoring in education.
