Keep sharp on Spring 2016 course assignments

Do you know which course sections you will teach in Spring 2016? In most cases, adjuncts at the seven University of Maine System universities should have received a proposed assignment by Nov. 20 (about 60 days from the start of classes). “Official” assignments – usually in the form of a course contract – usually come about 30 days from start of classes.

IFPE Hold Elections for New Officers...

Members of  the IFPE Local 4408 have cast their ballots to determine the election of officers.  Ballots were counted on Saturday, October 17.  Results of the election are as follows:

One of the goals of WFEA is to not only stand up for members but to also stand up for and support our community.  As the holidays approach, it’s a good time to think about how we do that as an organization.  Just in the past couple of months, we’ve

Scholarships Available to Adjuncts and Their Families

Once again Adjunct Local 6025 will be offering scholarships to two adjunct members who are furthering their education at Montclair University and to two children of adjunct members attending Montclair.

The minimum requirements for children of adjunct members are the applicant must be a full time student, who has completed of at least two semesters and has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 at the end of the fall semester of 2019 (copy of transcript is required.)

OPM Secretary Barnes - “I don’t believe that the state is in any kind of a crisis”

Yesterday Office of Policy and Management Secretary Ben Barnes told the legislature’s two budget writing committees "I don’t believe that the state is in any kind of a crisis”.  Secretary Barnes also stated that “I believe we face challenges and will continue to face challenges and that the changing nature of our economy makes it very difficult to operate government services on the types of tax bases that we have.”  Read the entire story here at CT News Junkie.
