State Board of Education Report: THE LEARNING STATE: Maine Schooling for the 21st Century

The Maine State Board of Education Select Panel on Revisioning Education in Maine released their report on September 28, 2006.  The 90 page report calls for sweeping changes in public education, including a longer school year, higher salaries and merit pay for teachers, larger school districts and an end to construction of schools too small to be cost effective.

Tentative HFT Meeting Dates 2011 - 2012

We have the Full membership meeting dates set for the 2011 - 2012 school year.  These dates should not change, but you never know.  As always, PLEASE attend any and all meetings that you can.  Snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic) are usually provided.  Even if you do not have any concerns, it is still nice to get together with other members that you may not otherwise get a chance to see everyday.
