There is now an on-line petition to support MHUSD students and neighborhoods schools that is being sent to the Santa Clara County School Board members and superintendent.

AFT Healthcare-Maryland president Debra Perry reports that the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) and the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing are co-sponsoring free training courses for all DHMH nurses.
Says AFT NM President Stephanie Ly, "We believe this governor and PED are destroying public education in NM. It is our obligation to the communities, students, and educators to advocate for reclaiming the promise to a world class public education system in NM."

(Baton Rouge – October 24, 2013) Today’s release of so-called school report cards by the State Department of Education affirmed what should have never been in question: Louisiana students reap the benefits provided by teachers dedicated to the education of children.
Baltimore County Federation of Public Employees (BCFPE) held a contract ratification vote on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, and the contract was ratified by a vote of 98%.
BCFPE President, John Ripley, is pleased that employees will be receiving a 3% bonus in November 2014 and a 3% Cost of Living Adjustment on July 1, 2015.
