MCEA 2014 Annual Convention
The Maryland Classified Employee Association held their annual convention in Ocean City, MD on October 13-15, 2014. This year's theme was "Reclaiming the Promise of Quality Public Services for Strong Communities."
President Linda Day oversaw the convention and will continue to serve as that union's leader. Speakers included AFT Secretary-Treasurer Lorretta Johnson, AFT- Maryland President Marietta English, AFL-CIO MD/DC President Fred Mason among others. Speakers emphasized the need to turn out to vote and to vote specifically for candidates that would support state workers.

Events include a rally from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., Labor to Labor Walks from 9:45 until 12:1500 p.m., and a luncheon meeting from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
