IBEW Volunteers Read to Students on 313 Day
313 Day in Detroit gave many students, including this group of third graders at Hutchinson Elementary Middle School, a chance to listen to our union siblings from IBEW 58, read to them.
Emerson Students Listen to Guest Readers
Students across the district are listening to guest readers to celebrate March is Reading Month. Emerson Elementary Middle School staff and students listen as (left) Dr. Tania Kemp Covington reads a book “There’s Nothing Wrong With Me”. It’s a book about bullying, a little girl who has juvenile diabetes. Ringing a bell as part of her reading to K-3 students is (right) Monique Baker-McCormick, Wayne County Commissioner District 6.
